The Federal Co-operative College,
Ibadan is a leading co-operative Institution in the Country. The first
of its kind to be established in the Federation. It was initially established
as an in-service training institution for government co-operative officers
and staff of the co-operative movement. It has steadily over the years
turned out quite an impressive number of graduates, some of whom are occupying
important positions both in the public and private sectors of the economy.
Of recent the admission doors of the college were thrown open to allow
private students from both far and near to gain admission and benefit
from the college programmes.
Some of these students have used the college Diploma to gain admission
to various Universities and Polytechnics and other
similar tertiary Institutions.
The College also lays strong emphasis on staff development through
training and re-training
of its staff.
PART-TIME PROGRAMME
For candidates who are unable to take advantage of the full-time
programme of studies, the College organizes a part-time (week-end)
programme for PRE-ND, ND, PRE-HND and HND in Co-operative Economics
and Management and Diploma in Co-operative Studies.

* Professional Diploma in Co-operative Studies.
* Specialized Courses for Co-operative Organizers, Managers,
Members and Workers at the grassroots.
* Refresher Courses for senior Co-operative Staff and Management.
Since 1998 when the
College first started the National Diploma course in Co-operative
Economics and management, it has been working tirelessly putting
structures and facilities in place to meet the conditions for accreditation
by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). These efforts
were rewarded in December, 2004 when the National Diploma Programme
was accredited by the NBTE.
